Science/Genomics Multimedia Projects

I’ve been working in science marketing since 2018. I was creative director for one company and just finished a four-year stint as the multimedia producer for another. In these roles, I filmed thought leadership content with CEOs, c-suite execs,, scientists, patients and sales people. We filmed fun projects, touching testimonials and created animated videos to communicate the importance of science innovations in our lives. I loved every minute of it. View more on the videos page.

Besides working on science marketing or corporate projects, I’ve been involved in dj culture for many years as a dj, music producer and event producer. I’ve also worked for advertising agencies, working on design and multimedia for big brands. I’ve also been working on ai and LLMs for over three years, doing video gen, image gen, music gen and copywriting. I’ve used every major ai platform and I often try out any new one, as so as I get access.

Multimedia is a broad category. My current focus is on creating designs, video and illustrations that will be animated, used for interactive digital experiences on websites, AR/XR applications, in social media videos, ads, live streaming, experiential events and experiences and apps for devices.
I’ve always been a mixed media artist, from using airbrush in my art, to painting murals, creating event props, staging for theater, window displays, screen printing and promotional products, club event flyers, web, digital and social media promotion content and much more.
I always set up my projects for a multimedia output. Too many times, I’ve been asked to edit or expand on content where the designer was not thinking about print, or animation or motion. As multimedia designers we must design something first, keeping in mind the fundamentals of design. After that we have to solve the problems that can arise when the creative needs animation, conversion to 3d, how it affects people in parallax, and much more.
Now, with performance marketing being the standard, all multimedia needs to convert and we must rely on data to inform us of how we should make certain decisions. This has always been true with web development, email design and designing for any platform that offers analytics. Now, everything provides data but years ago, it was not as common.
So now, all creative is prepared for performance, user experience and accessibility.

I was hired by the host of The Parker Edison project to create a special video enhancement for the Rap Diego podcast, highlighting many  years of San Diego artists’ innovation in Hip hop culture. The theme was Music Machines of the 90s, highlighting the Roland 808 Drum Machine, ASR 10 sampler keyboard and the AKAI MPC.

This was a teaser I made to promote the video release.

Every space I live in ends up becoming a multimedia studio in one way or another. This was my living room during 2020.

Weird Stuff

Yeah, yeah. I know, you hate ai, “it’s gonna destroy the universe.” Maybe it will but I’m having fun with it right now.

These are projects where I donated time to film a local teacher and her book drives, assisting kids to get better chances in education. I filmed the videos, edited and added music and motion graphics.
